No, unfortunately I have not built one. But I've seen people buying the entire cabinet to put in the van.

It's exposed because I'm using the 3-sided extrusion

Aluminum extrusion is stronger, a bit lighter and very easy to build. But it's expensive. A 8feet section you're looking at about $38-$42.

The overall height is 13.5"(includes bottom 1/2" plywood). Opening is 11".

Hi, another question as I am thinking of doing this soon. The EX-1010 you link to does not look to be the same as the one you used. You used one that has two smooth sides and two channels correct?

What is the exact size of the cabinets including the 1" x 2 horizontal aluminum extrusion? 15"? Meaning the vertical frame is 13" long? Thank you.
