Thank you, I thing if you’re gonna make this shield with pop cycle sticks you gonna need a lot of them. There will be no bugs inside the cardboard, just make you you keep the cardboard dry and less humid 👍👍

I once made stuff from cardboard and than I had to trash it. 1 bag of popsicle sticks costs 2,80€ (I live in Slovakia idk how much dollars it is), what I worry about is if it would even be possible to make this with popsickle sticks, anyway thanks for reply, have a nice day ;)
