Full moon is a part of decoration theme related to Chandrayaan...so it may not be wrong to put it beside lord Ganesha.... moreover.. quarter 🌒 moon may not look proper with Chandrayaan rocket..

Distemper was for thickness only fevicol would not give you that effect...you can use cornflour also 50 50% fevicol

The tradition of not viewing the moon on the first night of Ganpati, also known as "Ganesh Chaturthi," is based on Hindu mythology and religious beliefs. According to Hindu scriptures, there is a popular story associated with Lord Ganesha and the moon that explains this tradition. Legend has it that Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed god, was once invited to a feast. He loved food and accepted the invitation eagerly. On the day of the feast, Lord Ganesha consumed a large amount of food and sweets, which made him quite full. As he was walking back home on his mount, the mouse, he stumbled and fell. Due to his full stomach, Lord Ganesha's belly burst open, and all the food he had eaten spilled out. Seeing this, the moon, which was known for its mischievous nature, began laughing at Ganesha. This mockery deeply offended Lord Ganesha, and in his anger, he broke off one of his tusks and hurled it at the moon, cursing it. As a result of this curse, the moon's light disappeared. In Hindu mythology, the moon is considered a symbol of beauty and prosperity. Since Lord Ganesha, who is highly revered, cursed the moon, it is believed to be inauspicious to view the moon on the first night of Ganesh Chaturthi. This belief has been passed down through generations, and many people continue to follow this tradition as a sign of respect for Lord Ganesha. So, on the first night of Ganesh Chaturthi, it is customary not to look at the moon as a mark of devotion to Lord Ganesha and to avoid any potential inauspiciousness associated with the legend. This tradition is observed by many Hindus during the festival.

@TheKraftco First i would say the appearance of the decoration is Next Level.👌👏 But That's what my point is In the name of freedom of expression everything can be justified. If Moon considered Aftificial than the Idol should also be considered Artifical God which is wrong. Everything will not be written. It's like asking weather you can see it online or other medium. The books are older, and the practice if keeping idols at home and in lanes was promoted during India's independence struggle to help bring people together. But my point is even if the way of worshipping is changed, the basic rules of Puja has to be followed. I am just saying that it is inappropriate to keep something Behind Ganeshji who laughed at him in an Inappropriate moment for which Moon was cursed. Having said that it's your personal choice because Sanatana Dharma never gave any Commandment and will never say "Sar Tan se Juda" kind of things😂 No one will even question even if you Absue the God intentionally or unintentionally, knowingly or unknowingly. Because as a Dharmic follower it's You who should think and choose What is right and what is wrong. I just put a fact that one should avoid Moon while worshipping Ganeshji, just like How the Tulsi Dal is kept in all Pujas except for Lord Shiva.
