THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Absolutely terrific videos you produce that are just the best for those of us that love the food but can't get it. I now live in a very rural area of Canada, the nearest Indian restaurant is at least a 5 hour drive and even then not as good as I could find in the UK. I have been cooking Indian style food since leaving the UK nearly 30 years ago but it was/is never up to scratch, since following your videos a vast improvement. So once again THANK YOU.

This recipe is amazing brother! I loved the entire process. I enjoy the narration style but then again all your different video styles are interesting! Variety is the spice of life! I like the spices you used and also how you displayed them and did close ups so you can see them clearly! That finished vindaloo looks insanely delicious! A wonderful recipe for sure!

Thanks for the upload. Vindaloo is my all-time favourite BIR curry. I usually add a little sugar at the end i feel it brings out the flavour more, but each to their own. Great vid..Stay safe and look forward to the next Fusion Inspired recipe.

Sorry , but I don't know what the "base gravy" is. Do you have another video on that? Can't wait to make this one.
@fusioninspiredkitchen54373 жыл бұрын
I assume you have found it 🙂 the base gravy is a must when we cook in the restaurant, it speeds up the cooking process and we don't have to use any thickners or flour. 🙂

My absolute favourite, vindaloo but with Lamb as I don't like Chicken. I have just bought most of the ingredients needed from a supermarket, others are from Amazon as they do not seem to be stocked locally! I will be trying this one too as soon as it all arrives. Your videos are the best tutorials I have seen in many years. Can I ask though, you use green chillies in a lot of your videos, what chillies are they? Are they hotter than Birdseye chillies? Thank you for the inspiration and your videos.
@fusioninspiredkitchen54373 жыл бұрын
Hi two of my favourite ingredients Coriander and green chillies 🙂, they are just the regular green chillies that you can get in the supermarket, the birds eye chillies can be quiet hot although I don't mind the heat but might be to hot for a lot of the viewer's. I'm really glad you are enjoying the content and thank you for your kind comments. 🙏

@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 Hi again. Thanks for your reply. Is it ok to store the correct quantity of herbs in containers ready for use or will storing them together ruine their flavour? I assume we can freeze the gravy? 3 months maybe? Thank you, I eagerly await your next video.
@fusioninspiredkitchen54373 жыл бұрын
@@donnybigboy Hi you can store the dry spices it's no problem and yes you can freeze the base gravy, the gravy I used in this video I had previously made and freezed it. My next video will be uploaded next week 🙂 thank you

@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 Thank you for that. I am going to try your madras on Friday, I do however like a vindaloo. How much chilli should I add for a vindaloo during the cooking stage and which one, red chilli powder or the Mashmiri red chilli? Do I need to change the marinade at all fior a vindaloo? Thank you, I am looking forward to this experience.
@kencarter36163 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I don't mean to be a pest but another question. If I make the Vindaloo as described here, can I do something else beside the base gravy?
@fusioninspiredkitchen54373 жыл бұрын

@fusioninspiredkitchen54373 жыл бұрын
Hi you will really enjoy the base gravy it will really give you a restaurant style texture. Regarding the rice I have a video on how to make pillau rice and its really simple, and also yes balti is on my list in the next couple of weeks 😀 thank you

@@fusioninspiredkitchen5437 thank you I’ll take a look at your rice video and try it out. The madras was delicious and the closest tasting to the one that I get from my local take away that I’ve ever cooked it. I could really taste the carrot that I used in the base gravy though, will it massively affect the consistency if I didn’t put carrot into the base gravy? Or should I just use less carrot next time, any advice would be great thank you.
@fusioninspiredkitchen54373 жыл бұрын
@@jodiecolbeck7568 hi if you don't even want to use carrots it's no problem at all as it won't have any change on the consistency, it just gives the gravy nice colour and a bit of sweeness. Infac you could get away with just using onions and spices as it will still be a nice consistency. really glad you enjoyed my madras, I also have a video on vindaloo 🙂 thank you
