Dear Julia. I can't thank you enough for sharing your terrific, yet simple Chocolate Lace Doilie/Chocolate Lace Applique techniques. You are a very professional and generous woman. I tried both techniques and I did it!! They both came out wonderful and made my plated cheesecake and my 8" cake look spectacular and expensive! My family members were stunned. They really thought I purchased my deserts at a bakery. Your videos are super and so are you! Martha

I love watching your work. I'm a BPA student, and while we're exposed to each element a little bit I find that chocolate/confections and working with pastries are my preferred. So it's just so amazing to watch your videos, and so inspiring.

This is a fabulous idea...I would have never thought of it...I have been a baker and candy maker for almost 40 years and sell locally, farmers market , amazon and ebay. I have also been running a daycare for almost 40 years. I LOVE this idea and your video is great...Thank you SO much for sharing...We have a yearly ladies cooking day (family) ages from 3 to 68 and they usually have me do the desserts...I can not wait to do this for that occasion. Thanks again.

I usually don't comment on videos, but I have to say that I'm really impressed with your work. I am a French Chef, and I for sure will try this myself in this "mandala" shape that you designed for the plates, and if I'm good enough, I'll teach that to some of my cooks! Once again thank you for taking the time to make this video, and showing us your art. It is lovely and very feminin, I just love it. MM*

Julia, thanks for sharing this beautiful technique here. When I was a teenager I learnt some basic cake making skills from a girlfriend, and for a while I was able to make good money from selling my creations between my teachers at highschool and later at the university I attended. Since then many years have passed, and I had never been so much motivated to get again into the kitchen as after seeing this video!

Normally I find it annoying when people talk a while before showing how to bake/cook something in these videos, but I didn't mind it at all in this video. I don't know if it's how you talk or the story of why you would use the doilies or what, but I appreciated it. Thanks for showing this technique! :)

I was looking for something for Valentine's Day, and I have to say, I am floored that I can learn this (even if I'm a bit wobbly in my technique). Hi Julia! Thanks for sharing your artistry! Truly, it is a gift from the Lord. I'm trying out this doily and indeed, it takes lots of patient practice. Mine came out squiggly, and the white dots are not uniform in sizes. But that's ok, as I know i'll get better with more practice. Thank you!

Hi Julia! I'm not really sure how I landed on your channel-- just surfing utube. I watched a few of your videos now. I just wanted to let you know that I was SO impressed with your delivery, production and explanations of what you were doing, why, and various 'how' tips along the way. I love to bake, but have never mastered much above a box cake (ha!). You have a great way of speaking to the beginner like me without insulting those who are much more experienced. Bravo! :-)

Once you're done piping, have a slightly warm bowl, not too warm that it will make the chocolate run but loosen up and lay it on or in depending on the bowls arc. makes it into a fruit bowl or holding basket. Nice ideas love!

Hello Julia, as all the people here I am a big big fan of your work, First time I came across your videos was last year while I was looking for a different way to decorate sugar cookies that's when I saw your video about stenciled cookies. Long story short my cookies where a mess I ended up creating a "marbleized" cookie. FRUSTRATED. I wanna make this beautiful doily to decorate rice pudding my question is, do you think it will sink if I set it on top of the pudding??? I wanna avoid individual ones as i am not sure how many people will be present. and once again you are wonderfully talented
