I've been trying to learn how to put progressions together myself and figure out why they work with my ideas. You laid everything out and used it in an active example in a way where I could build everything myself with my own songs and be creative with it and I appreciate that so much. Simple without distraction, no fluff, and straight forward. Not confusing or cluttered, and interactive, and it has really made a difference in my ability to understand it and how I myself can use it. I appreciate how you teach and that you consider our perspective in what information you give, how you connect it, and use it as a whole, without flexing skills. Thank you.

@MelloDeeBeats2 жыл бұрын
Thank you but talk to me. With this and even outside of this, what are you having issues with?
@JakkQuill2 жыл бұрын
@@MelloDeeBeats The issue is I never did any music theory ever. Not in school, not on my own or whatever. I just wasn't around that kind of information. So all this music theory talk is 100pc new to me. I do produce, but I'm nicer with chopping samples or using loops from sample packs then throwing some drums on it..that kinda lane. But chord progressions and making my own melodies, that's new stuff. But I'm slowly getting the hang of it through watching such tutorials.

i don't understand the roman numeral part to express the chord progression, like after you move the two notes from the 1-6-5, why is it still a 1-6-5 when they are no longer on the 6th and 5th note?
@MelloDeeBeats3 жыл бұрын
If you're talking about when I pushed the notes down at 2:36, I pushed them down to a lower octave. If you don't know what an octave is, it's the same note on the keyboard in a different pitch. So being that scale is usually just a series of 7 notes and those notes repeat in every octave, me pushing them down to a lower pitch doesn't change the notes identity within a 7 note scale. To break it down further and simpler, let's say a G note is the 6th note in the C major scale. No matter which G note you touch on the keyboard, it will still be the 6th note in the C major scale if that's the scale you're playing in. Hope this helps.
