2 years later im using your tutorials, i have been making music for atleast 5 years now and i never knew any theory about music but 2 days ago i started watching your videos and im starting to understand everything in just two days. Most people cant explain this at all and you just do it so easily man we really appreciate you!

I've been teaching my younger brother how to play piano etc cause he wants to make beats. One day he comes over and he's making chords according to theory and he told me he learned it from you. Bro I gotta say, you are one of the best teachers on here

I consider myself as someone who can learn something easily but music production has been hard to grasp, however this had light bulbs going off in my head left and right! Bought an Arturia Lab Mini 3 yesterday ready to learn, and watched several tutorials but none of them compared to the basics like this! Thank you!!!!

This is actually an amazing explanation, I've been so lost on how to do chords, chord progressions, how to alter them to run smoothly. This was extremely helpful

You were so concise in your tutorial. Watching other videos, I'd have several tabs open searching for further explanations of concepts and terms that would be briefly mentioned. It's very frustrating. Thank you for not assuming your audience had a prior knowing of these concepts.

Dude, I don't know English, but I still understand everything you're talking about - it seems you're a genius hahahahah. It turns out that I already had an idea about a lot of what you said in this video, just not so deeply, and you were able to understand all these things without any problems. Here I have one question, why did you in the very last example, after you made the chords inversion, decide to "destroy" the smoothness and scatter the notes by octaves, why didn't you duplicate them?
@MelloDeeBeats2 жыл бұрын
just showing people options. The voice leading could've been better at the end but what i was trying to illustrate was more open and spaced voicings VS tight and closed voicings. Open voicings are better for sustaining instruments like strings and leads. Thanks for watching the vid and thanks for the feedback though, I appreciate you
@bogard083 ай бұрын
You have to remember your 1st inversions, in order to build your baseline right?
