Just love that you’re so real and honest, nothing pretentious. My Mums puds were renowned too and Dads antics with silver sixpences pretending to choke as he swallowed are such happy memories. The table fireworks added to the nonsense and anticipation, happy days. Can’t wait to see what’s next, guess we won’t witness your Christmas day shower!? Do hope it happens though, it will be the best gift ever I imagine.

Yes you were much more organised and calmer. 😊 What a good idea to use the slow cooker, I just remember all the steam and having to check the saucepan didn’t dry out. Please do more cooking videos, they are very watchable. Looking forward to your next Christmas one. 💕🎄

Mmmmmm following your pud recipe … fruits soaking now! I’m 60 and never made a Christmas pudding before 😮. Is it too late to pickle onions ready for this Christmas? ❤❤❤❤

you could pickle onions now for Christmas but they'd be much better left in the jar for a few months. Fortunately I already have some that are well pickled so this small batch will be ready for next year.

My English niece had her mom hand carry her”sampler” cake over from England for her center wedding cake. They fed it for well over 3 yrs. Unfortunately it lasted longer than the marriage.😊

I am not meaning to be rude but the pudding is not gluten free just because gluten free flour was used. If the bread crumbs as was mentioned was wholemeal bread crumbs it was just wholemeal wheat so it’s not gluten free. You do get packaged gluten free bread crumbs or you could make your own with stale gluten free bread. Apologies again don’t mean to be rude.

Louisa would undoubtedly have gluten free breads, so would make the crumbs from that. I’m sure she wants to eat her own pudding.

@@theresechenoweth2321 sure but she did say whole meal & gluten free bread is not whole meal because wholemeal is the whole wheat. Well that I what I know as I did do a course on gluten free baking & products.
