Ahh cheers; as I say I can't claim to originate the technique but it does bear repeating as it's such a useful little money saving tip. I'm very happy to have helped, and thanks for taking the time and effort to comment - it's appreciated.

A coffee grinder works well too. Especially for smaller ground cover bits

This looked easy and great, I saw a video a few months ago by Knights of Dice, he's done, if I remember correctly, on an industrial scale, anyway, great job mate, they look beautiful.

Nice one, Beard. Coincidentally, I'm getting a new blender, soon, and will be doing exactly this. I've been planning 3-4 greens, plus a bunch of flower colours
@BeardClipper2 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah having your own blender is key to the happiness of your life after making clump foliage :D That sounds awesome; I need to make a few more shades as well, but for now these have worked out perfectly for me. Good luck, and thanks for watching and for the comment :)

We have a wood burning cuisine for our heating and cooking. Next job here this spring will be to cut a tree down in the fields, split the wood and load it into the wood shed for winter 2024

I honestly think food tastes better when cooked on a wood burning stove. It's the true way to live; have fun with the splitting, that's a task I do not love :D

I do the same its awesome old sponses and food coloring works perfect only when i use th eblender i get in a fight :P

Haha I bought myself my own blender just so I can avoid that fight :D Food colouring is a good call as well, though. Thanks for the tip!

How many years did you collect old scouring pads?
@BeardClipper2 жыл бұрын
Mate I never throw one away :) They are useful for doing so many things, like sponge techniques for rust or patchy paint as well as for this :) I'm lucky to have the space to do this. Cheers for watching, and for the comment :)

Okay, this is going to sound like a dumb question, but here goes. What is the purpose of the PVA glue when adding the paint/color to the foam?
@BeardClipper6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question - I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as a dumb question at all, the only dumb thing is to not ask! I am not talking scientifically here as I've not done any experiments but my thinking is that PVA is plastic based and therefore it holds the foam together and makes it less likely to crumble with handling. I don't know if that makes sense, but yeah. That's my reasoning. Thanks again!

@@BeardClipper The theory that PVA is plastic-based and helps hold the foam together is an interesting one and one that I had not considered. Thank you for your reply.
