'perfection is the paralysis of the artwork you want to explore '. So many valuable thoughts just casually dropped in here!

I love that she mentions playing with art in this! Play is one of the reasons why I recently became interested in art. Thank you thank you thank you for this! ❤

Collage used to be a huge part of my practice and I stalled with it because of copyright fears, and I lost a significant part of my conversation with the world. I'm building it back in from today. Thankyou thankyou thankyou.

“Progress not perfection” such good advice for working on & learning/ practicing anything. & in a way nothing is really 100% perfect

Thank you for sharing the video. As an interdisciplinary artist specializing in collage, I completely agree. Early in my artistic journey, I observed a lack of diversity in beauty within magazines. I'm pleased to note that newer publications now showcase a broader range, bringing me joy. ❤

Thank you! I have been making collages since I was a little girl! Great info!! I am working on a flower bird and butterfly collage on a wooden piece of furniture I found at thrift store :) . I spent years in bed sick "cutting out" images out of magazines ...my family thought I was crazy lol but they would bring me magazines because they could see how much I enjoyed it and I believe it helped me heal and get out of the bed after life saving heart surgery...Art saved my life if you ask me..also love and support from family and friends. Thanks again...OneLove Y'all.

Yep, art saves a lot of lives in many different ways. Completely different angle, but my sister worked at an agency called Sketch for street youth. Miraculous healing power. We should protect the arts more as a society. Glad you’re out of bed again! 👍

This is so informative and great. I was working on a collage piece about a year ago and kept running into technical hiccups that were hard to search or weren’t addressed in casual crafting guides. This is the perfect guide for starting fine art collage work. Can’t wait share with students!
@ktbrown7643 Жыл бұрын
I can relate to having technical hiccups...I have had so many! I still have pieces I am still working on years later lol I get so frustrated because I know how its supposed to look but figuring out how to get there is a different story! :)

it is fun to look through junkyards to find items for a collage...discarded items in the streets make interesting collages, or sometimes art sculptures.
