🌹Method 1:🌹Rose Apple Tarts - BAKED
►Ingredients:
1-2 Apples
½ Lemon
300g puff pastry dough
3 tablespoons strawberry jam
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
6 Muffin tin
►Instructions:
Remove seeds from the apples and slice thinly.
Soak the apple slices in a bowl of water mixed with lemon juice.
Microwave the bowl of apples for 1-2 minutes until the apple slices are soft.
Remove the apples from the water and drain.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Cut the puff pastry dough into rectangular pieces measuring 5cm x 25cm.
Spread strawberry jam, brown sugar, and cinnamon powder onto the pastry dough.
Arrange the apple slices on the dough and roll it up to create a rose shape.
Brush melted butter into the muffin tin.
Place the tarts into the muffin tin.
Bake for 30-40 minutes until the tarts are golden brown and cooked through.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
🌹Method 2:🌹Rose Apple Tart - No-Bake
►Ingredients:
🌹For the "rose":
1-2 Red apples
1 tablespoon lemon juice
🌹For the tart crust:
150g shortbread cookies
100g butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
🌹For the custard cream:
3 egg yolks
40g-50g sugar
20g cornstarch
300g unsweetened fresh milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Tart pan or deep dish with a diameter of 20cm (8in).
►Instructions:
🌹For the tart crust:
Crush or grind the shortbread cookies into fine crumbs.
Melt the butter in a double boiler or microwave for about 20 seconds until it's melted.
Mix the crushed shortbread cookies, melted butter, and cinnamon powder thoroughly.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the deep dish. Use the back of a spoon or the bottom of a glass to compact the mixture into a crust. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
🌹For the custard cream:
Mix 3 egg yolks with sugar. Add cornstarch and mix well.
Warm the milk (do not boil).
Gradually pour the warm milk into the egg yolk mixture, stirring constantly.
Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla extract and mix well. Let it cool.
Pour the custard mixture over the chilled tart crust.
🌹For the "rose":
Remove seeds from the apples and slice thinly. Soak them in water mixed with lemon juice.
Microwave the bowl of apple slices for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the apples from the water and let them cool.
Arrange the apple slices on top of the custard cream, creating a rose pattern.
Chill the tart in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours or until the custard is set.
