After having a knife slip and getting a bad slash, I now use kitchen shears. Here's a little tip. If you oil your fingers before handling hot peppers, a quick wash with hot soapy water takes all traces of hot peppers away. Try it! It really works. If cutting a lot, just recoat as needed.
