How To Make Custom Labels for Game Boy Cartridges

How I made my own personal labels for Game Boy games that had the stickers worn off! Very simple, cheap, and quick!

Currently on the part where I'm constructing the repo cartridge and was struggling for God knows how long trying to find someone who would make me the sticker and you just taught me that printable sticker paper exists, absolutely incredible love it

Or, on Microsoft Word, just put in the size of the picture. Its much more easier that way. But what you're doing is cool too.

Question. Does the quality look less blurry on the sticker paper than regular printer paper? Also, can you take a picture of a label and use that or does it need to be a scan?

Kinda helpful. I got a used copy of Donky Kong Country for the GBC at a pawn shop but 50% of the label is torn and damaged. Plus almost all the Gameboy and Gameboy color games i have are second hand purchases. I watched a nifty video elsewhere where someone showed how to repurpose old cassette tape cases to hold Gameboy games complete with custome made label inserts for when you put them on display on your shelf.

I wanted to put stickers for my Final Fantasy Legend games which are actually a different franchise known as SaGa. I wanted to print the original SaGa labels, but I can't find them anywhere. Is the game too obscure or something? If anyone has any advise please tell me.

Maybe you should put a large piece of clear tape over the label before you cut out and stick it on the cartridge, that way it looks laminated and fancy. I wasn't around in the original Gameboy times so I'm not sure if they originally looked that way.

Buy glossy sticker paper thats what it was printed on or use packing tape over it

You would need a normal laser printer or a high quality inkjet printer (most people don't have inject printers that are up to par for doing something like this)

+TheEvilmonkey46 I'm pretty sure you can just use a ruler and measure the size of the spot you want to put the label, and then just adjust the size of the picture on the computer to those dimensions. Not positive if this can be done in Paint but im pretty sure it can in photoshop

Load the image (without borders) into Word. There you can set the size, after you masured it with a ruler.

+Dratinineko TV it isn't meant to be the "original" label. I know a lot of my cartridges have torn or missing labels from years of wear. So this is meant to be a replacement in the event that your original is missing or damaged.

I know that ruins the value. Like if you repair an old gun with new tools it ruins the value. same with the cartridges your replacing a label made in the 90s with a new one

+Dratinineko TV If he's replacing a missing label, it doesn't lower the value. If someone doesn't want the custom label, all they have to do is rip it off.

+Dratinineko TV It is nothing like an Antique gun. Replacing a damaged sticker on a video game doesn't hurt the value at all trust me.
