Question unrelated to this video but a question nevertheless, does deore RD work with 3x crank setup? The sgs version supports a max capacity of 43T. What i am looking for is the ability to climb steep inclines as well as having good speed to escape the city as fast as possible. So the setup i was looking for was 11-40T cassette and 22-32-40T hollowtech cranks paired with deore RD5120 or 6000. I will be over capacity by 4T. So would this setup work? I know that shifting won't be optimal but I don't want to go with it if it's not able to retain the gear. Also what else can go with this setup other than deore?

Yes it'll work, but make sure you have a deore front RD with Deore shifters only

@@cycleriderroy oh I see because I was thinking of downgrading to Microshift advent 11-38T casset and tat would make it 2T over capacity of derore's 43T max capacity. Also front i have a tourney i don't think that would affect right? And in terms of shifters deore doesn't come with 8 speed i will have to look for 9 speed 40T cassette if I have to use deore shifters.
