How to make difficult conversations easier

They’re called difficult conversations for a reason - but we can make them just a bit easier and more effective with a few adjustments:
1️⃣ Be clear about your goal: Knowing what outcome you want will help you stay on track.
2️⃣ Take responsibility: Even if you’ve been wronged, shift the tone from blame to contribution.
3️⃣ Listen and learn: Focus on “what,” not “why” - and seek to understand, not to win.
4️⃣ Establish a next step: No matter how it’s going, point to a concrete future action.
