Concept art, kit-bashing, a blue scooter…all mixed together by Boylei. It is inspired, and it does inspire. Bravo Boylei!

I love the mystery of a scene that has not been fully fleshed out, it gives room for the mind to wander around in. I really enjoyed this build, the ambiance of the final shot and how it captured the feeling of a quiet moment really resonated with me!

I totally agree! I immediately started imagining the reason as to why she had stopped at this particular time and place and my mind just pictured a beautiful sunset over a dystopian cyberpunk city that she just had to stop for to take it all in, since these fleeting moments of peace and serenity have gotten so rare in her life. This diorama is so simple yet so beautiful, i absolutely love it

"The dioramas themselves are not made to museum diorama standards..." still your most simple dioramas are waaay better than any diorama I've seen in any museum. Love your work, you inspire me so much!

As always, what you call "good," I would call excellent! You are as good a modeler as you are a storyteller. As with your Wild Imaginary West, I hope that you will explore the world this young lady with the hover-scooter lives in with future "Concept Art" displays. Thanks for sharing this with us!

The way you just casually built up an interesting and compelling world setting in just a few sentences is the most inspiring thing to me.

Love it. Ralph McQuarrie in 3D. The paint job came out great. BTW: Her friend drinks her coffee black (of course) and there is a Bear Claw and two doughnut holes in the bag. Just thought you should know. Excellent work, C!

This reminds me so much of 'Tales from the Loop' by Simon Stålenhag. The mag lift concept, unique change in history, even the 'Wild Imaginary West' could be all wrapped into the same altered timeline. I love seeing your work and hearing more about your thought process when designing/creating a project. This one has really captured my imagination so thank you for the morning daydream. :)

I never thought that dioramas could be concept art. I find I quite like this way of thinking and will have to remind myself of it when i sit down to craft next. Lovely little build, great vid.

i love this idea , and the philosophy behind it too ! looking at my own unfinished and taped together doodles as concept art really helped me feel better about rarely having time to "finish" something super polished your work definitely does wonders for the imagination, im a massive wild imaginary west fan and every addition makes me want more !! ❤

That’s a good point about creativity and the creative process in general. There seems to be this notion that ideas and stories must arrive fully formed in your head. But the human mind doesn’t work like that (at least not always). It’s like an artist staring at a blank page and wondering why they can’t think of any ideas. The mind needs something to start from. A seed that that our creativity can then germinate and grow. The most creative and well crafted worlds all started from a simple, singular idea.

This was so dope. I like that the girl is a bigger part of the story. I think your humans are usually treated very secondary to the monsters or machinery they're interacting with but in this case she's equal to the scooter and it's cool. She's cool. It's all cool.

Concept art is an integral part of world building and storytelling. It inspires those that want to create and helps them achieve what they wish to accomplish. Your videos inspire those of us who create (either by art or writing or building) to look inwards and use our imagination to our fullest potential in order to create something amazing. Much like you do here on this channel. Thank you for all that you do.
