This was a fun project! One thing I did differently, was instead of cutting the nubby off the little bauble, I drilled a hole in the bottom of the larger one, just big enough for the nubby to fit snugly. IMO, that gives the connection a little more "real estate" so it's more secure. (I also gave them a little bow on their necks) I absolutely loved doing this one! 🕷😁🕷

I recently bought a box of antique ornaments from the 1940's and there was a spider on a web ornament! I was totally baffled - who would want to have a spider on their Christmas tree?!? Now I know. Mystery solved. The ornament was made of glass.

One thing I wish to mention. Use a torch, flux and solder to connect the legs for the large momma spider. Once you get the basic shape and wrap the legs together with thinner wire, you can then add a bit of flux, gently heat with a torch and put a bit of solder on where all the metal is joined and "Wahla" a very strong joint!

you should do an animatronic killer snowman that would awesome next to the christmas portal..for the big spider you could prolly use a small dowel cut a small hole in the bottom of big ornament then place between both for better structural strength when you hot glue both pieces together for the legs
