When it comes to skincare, there is one body part we often forget: our feet! As we age, the skin on our feet begins to lose its natural oils, leaving them cracked and dry. Which is not only painful, but can also make your feet look less-than-presentable.
Today the professionals at Beverly Hills MD teach you how to make a basic foot peel out of natural household items! This do-it-yourself treatment is designed to moisturize your feet, while removing layers of dead skin - making them look smooth, supple, and luxuriously soft. Try it out for yourself and share your results in the comments!

For anyone wondering if this method works, YES IT DOES!!!!! I was struggling with dried, tough dead skin on my heels, bottom feet and stubborn calluses. I made the paste, let it sit for about 3 hours, rinsed my feet with warm water and used a foot file to help remove the peeling dead skin. I did this a week ago and my feet are still so smooth and calluse free. I definitely recommend this video. Thank you doc! ❤

For anyone curious, the science behind why this works is this: • Aspirin contains Salicylic Acid, which is a very effective chemical exfoliant, known as a Beta-Hydroxy Acid, or BHA for short. Salicylic Acid is an active ingredient in acne washes and dandruff shampoos. It is a keratalytic agent and works to break down old dead skin cells. • Lemon juice is acidic in nature, so it has the power to soften dead skin. It sort of paves the way for the Salicylic Acid to work. • And the water - it's purely a carrier for the ingredients in this recipe. :)

I wore combat boots for 300hrs or more a month for a year and had severely cracked feet. I used this mask for about a hour and a half. My feet are so soft and don't hurt anymore when I'm walking. I wanted to say thank you. This really works.

Here you go.. 1 capful finely crushed non coated aspirin 2 TBS of lemon juice 2 TBS of water Mix together, apply on the sides and bottom of your feet wrap them in plastic bags put on some warm socks and let them cook for at least an hour.

It works. I bought a $0.98 bottle of coated aspirin at Walmart. I crushed half the bottle of aspirin, 2 table spoon of lemon juice, 2 table spoon water. It wasn't a paste it was more liquid so I just poured it over my feet and rubbed in the aspirin that had settled in bottom of bowl. Covered feet with plastic bags and slipped on socks. Left for 1 1/5 hrs. Now the first day I didn't really see anything different, next day not much difference so I wrote it off as a waste of my time but the third day I rubbed my feet with oil and noticed much smoother feet. My feet are like they looked and felt in my 20's and I'm blown away by the results. My feet didn't peel like in the picture but must have flaked off in my socks over the few days. Next time I do this I will use a different ratio to form more of a paste.

I use aspirin and a body wash which has lactic acid in but it is usually for my toes, I apply it with a nail brush and let it sit for 5 minutes while I wait for my conditioner to get to work. then rinse. I find it exfoliates the dead skin and brightens the toenails so they look less yellowish.....the latter must be an age thing because it is not toenail fungus. I will definitely try your remedy on my feet though.

This concoction made me feel lightheaded and a little nauseous, as if I actually ingested the 10+ pills 🤢. I will say that I don’t take over the counter meds for anything and I can’t remember the last time I was prescribed any meds. But it worked! My feet feel softer after the first application. I let mine sit for 2 hours before rinsing and I used a pumice sponge (not stone) after.

Can I use a bottle of lemon juice?, I don’t have any lemons

Great question! Store-bought lemon juice should be fine, you may want to dilute it with a bit of water if it's concentrated. We hope this helps! 😊

I have eczema on my hands and feet. The skin on my heels are super dark , thick and cracked from the intense itching. I have used the pumice stone, it makes the skin look better temporarily, but the dryness, cracking and itching gets even worse and the cycle continues. Would this method work? Or if you have other suggestions please. I have had allergy test done, but they have come back inconclusive for my condition. Thanks

Instead of lemons, can I subsitute limes for lemons instead? Also, can you use aloe Vera gel to moisturize the feet after the power peel?
@BeverlyHillsMD
@BeverlyHillsMD 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. We recommend using lemons instead of limes. You can use aloe vera instead, but be aware that oils are recommended since they help lock in moisture and support the skin's protective barrier after exfoliation.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your question! Everyone is different since all skin types differ. Some may see results after the first application, and for others it make take a few applications. We recommend waiting a week between applications if you'd like to do this peel more than once.
