Thank you for talking about menopause! I have been going through pre-menopause for about six years. I am now 50 and starting to see full menopause but it’s been rough through the full six years and getting worse. Thanks again for making that comment and letting us all know we’re not crazy and alone LOL

I had to have a full hystorectomy a couple of years ago in my 30s i went straight in to the menopause after operation and I can honestly say I've never felt so depressed in my life. If I didn't have my son i feel like I would of done something stupid. HRT was a lifesaver for me but they've taken it off me again because I'm having trouble with blood pressure and heart. Watching these videos keeps me sane. X

Hi Caroline! Just read your comment and wanted to tell ya to hang in there girlie! I have CRPS in both my legs and live with chronic pain 24/7 - 365. Ugh! I also have BP issues as well and other medical issues to boot. Life will throw us some curve balls but keep pushing forward! I tell myself this everyday and it isn't easy. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Hugs from Texas!! : ) xx

Caroline Robertson Ive been begging my gynaecologist for a hysterectomy for the past 8yrs since losing our daughter to SIDS & Triploidy and my cervical cancer stage 3 iv had twice in 8yrs, iv tied my tubes 4yrs ago and altogether iv lost 21 babies but I do have 2 boys that came into the world early, iv been medically induced into menopause twice in 8yrs and I have Endometriosis. I’m sick of being on Fentanyl patches and depression pills, I just took myself off diazepam gradually as I’m a nurse myself and know how to do it.

Well good morning to you. I am actually listening to you giving some advise and tips on your KZbin video. You are an amazing lady and I thank God I started following you. Soaping to me seem to be such a very good business to get into, but one day I happen to listen to a soap maker on KZbin bash another soaper and I was amazed how could one do such a thing to another person when the entire world is full of people who can buy soaps from her too. Anyway you are blessed keep up the good work you certainly encourage me a lot with your recipes and your instructions. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Good morning Karen! These are just so pretty, love the pale pink with the yellow! I always enjoy your cupcake video's...I mean who doesn't love gorgeous cupcakes?! Lol ; ) I was sitting here laughing to myself when John was trying to give ya a hard time! LOL My pooch Ziggy was looking at me like I was a crazy person! Hahaha It's a very warm morning here in Texas but I'm kicked back in the a/c (thank god) with my coffee enjoying the visit with ya! ; ) The CRPS in my legs keeps me from doing a lot because of the chronic pain but watching video's really helps distract me. Chronic pain 24/7 - 365 is a tough road when there is no end in sight. Depression can be a booger bear and I completely understand how it is to feel like there isn't much in life at times. We got to keep pushing forward...I try and remind myself everyday. I have watched ya for years and you have gotten me through some real bad pain flares. So I have to tell ya my sweet and funny friend, keep bringing the love of your craft and expertise because we do appreciate ya!! Have a wonderful Sunday... hugs and love from Texas!! xoxo : )

Hi Miss Karen! You talked about glycerin rivers and mixing your soap by hand before you pour. There is a gal in South Africa named Auntie Clara who has done some wonderful research on the subject. She discovered that using TD and full water in the base, then going through gel phase creates them. I don't know if you water discount your recipe, but this is what she found. If you do a water discount and prevent gel phase it won't happen. I've had a few batches come out with glycerin rivers and although it's just an asthetic thing, most people would prefer not to have them. I do love watching all of your video's and have watched them for quite some time and have to admit you are one of my favorites! You create such lovely soaps and have been an inspiration to many!

Thank you, Karen. Two Questions: Do you ever have any problem with the tops coming off the bottom when you unmold? Also, do you stop your cupcakes from going through gel phase? I'm afraid going through gel phase would have an impact on those pretty tops? Thanks, again.
@TubTimeTreasures6 жыл бұрын
I love watching your videos! Glycerin rivers are caused by water and heat... so if you're using a water discount (not full water) and/or not gelling your soaps, you won't get them. If you WANTED them (for a crackled effect), you could add more water to your batches and force gel phase with heat (like wrapping in a towel). :-)

P.S I started pre menopause in my 20s and now in my 30s and partial hysterectomy after the loss of our baby in 2014 in full menopause mode. It's been so hard on me. We haven't been able to conceive again. My last pregnancy was a ectopic pregnancy at 8 weeks. Till this day i cry often about it. The depression is worse after many years trying and the stick reads negative. Heartbreaking. 💔

Just a thought, I know that you can get piping bags somewhere that has a sort of divider inside them but when you pipe out whatever it is (icing, soap etc.) it will still come out as though it was all together, I wonder if that will make things easier. Very pretty though :)
@EdensSecret16 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Yes, you can get piping bags like that.
@moonshadowessentialssoapsn52876 жыл бұрын
Jasmine French u don't need a divider what u can do is get press and seal put one color fold it up twist the bottom then lay out another sheet put ur second color in that fold it up make them thin not cut a small opening on both bottoms and slide them in ur pipping bag side by side and ur color will pipe the way u want it to. It u do it together in the bar it fades the colors into each other like a gorgeous rainbow but if u do this ur colors will be next to each other not faded into rich other the color won't blend ur pink n blue will be pepped side by side and will be 2 very defined colors next yo each other.
