I didn't quite cut enough fabric to make it fit perfectly so I didn't sew the corners on the front. It does the job, looks better than the scarf we had on it, and will certainly work until I can give it another go. I was worried about the slits for the music stand but that was super easy. Thank you for the tutorial.

If you lay the fabric upside down on the piano to prepare the corners, would this also work, to keep the corner sections hidden on the inside instead of on the outside?

Hey. How often do you wash this cover? I use a shawl to cover the whole piano, but of course, the shawl itself collects dust as well too.

Guessing that would depend on your environment. If you have a dustier house, you may need to wash it more. If you're collecting that much dust, I think that means you're not playing enough. ;)
