Nice, now I need a video about your shelf plastic covers in the background shelves.

Well done girl! My daughter and I were watching your video and she said “That’s me sewing!” LOL 😂 I told her: “When you’re starting something new, you improvise!” Nice covers! I’m making some for my craftroom machines. You inspired me! Keep learning and improving your sewing skills. Hugs from Tampico, México 🇲🇽!

This is perfect! Thank you! I knew sewing a cover for my printer would be simple, but needed to see how an expert would do it.

I am definitely not an expert but I am happy that you find my video helpful. I just figured, someone else might be wondering about how to make the same thing. Thank you!

I love your idea of using safety pins. For someone like me who is not very good at sewing, it means stabbing my fingers less.

Good point! Haha. I started out with safety pins because I didn't have any sewing pins. :D But yes, they are more secure although it takes a while to put them in and remove.

Hello from Spain. Thanks for your video, I wanted to make dust covers for my old retro consoles and I found your video :-)

Thank you for this. This is a great idea I want to make one for my printer. Never saw someone cover the bookcase with clear plastic like this before but this actually is a brilliant idea. Anyone knows this after trying to dust each book in their bookcase & how time consuming that is. Plus, it's just more cleaner that way. Why type of plastic is that. Maybe you can make a tutorial for the bookcase.

Sorry for the late response. In the Philippines some people use plastic cover (the one that is used for student's textbooks) to cover their shelves. Haha. Those are old books of the family so the plastic has been there for quite a while. Not sure if they sell that where you are but it's just clear plastic to cover books. It might not be as cheap there as well. Try checking out plastic book covers by yard? Thanks for watching!

Fab video I am off to make some. What marker pen/pencil do you use the yellow one
@TineyDIYs2 жыл бұрын
Hi! It’s a dermatograph or grease pencil. It’s like crayon. I would not suggest it for front-facing side of the fabric since they might not completely disappear with wash but it’s very handy to use, easy to apply and does not bleed into the other side of the fabric.

I've been looking for covers for my woodworking tools. These include a large miter saw, drill press and table saw. Your video covered the basic steps I need to do to make my own. I still need to determine what material would be the best to use. I'm thinking of something heavy-duty and thicker than plain fabric. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Perhaps canvas would work?

What kind of fabric you use ??

Hi! This is the regular cotton fabric that is usually used for bedsheets. Easy to wash.

Please try to be kind whenever you don’t understand something. I can imagine using safety pins when I don’t have straight pins, or when I don’t want to stick myself or lose the pins when I turn the project inside out.
