Sadly, my Dutch-Indo mother in law is now in a nursing home, so she's not able to make oliebollen anymore. This will be my 1st time making them & the pressure to carry on the tradition feels enormous, especially with her not being able to help. Your video and cheery tone put my worries at ease. Sweetheart when you make recipes with yeast, never start with flour and salt first. Salt comes always at the end. As you can see, you Dough is way too liquid. That’s because you mixed salt with salt.

jerricette my family is dutch and this is pretty much the dutch way with the end product being exactly the right texture and the way we love our new year oliebollen.
