One thing I’ve noticed, and everyone feel free to chime in, the recipes in other countries are kept so simple. I love it!!! Here in America, we add way too much processed crap. I also noticed that the recipe doesn’t require sugar as pancakes here in America do. Interesting. Can’t wait to try these.

I know I'm a bit late, but you can add sugar to the batter if you want, plenty of people do. They're also really tasty with savory toppings like cheese or slices of meat.

I just made these and can confirm that these are just like the pancakes in Amsterdam. Especially nice with cheese on top, taken off the hob and grilled until the cheese browns a little! I’m saving the Nutella one for later x

Back in the 90s a Dutch research girl came to our village in west sumatra - indonesia . she got along quite closely with the people of my village. her name is renske or something like that. One day he stopped by our house and taught us how to make pancakes from the Netherlands, Pannenkoeken recept! ️

Same as the South African recipe, as it originated from Dutch Settlers. Only exception is a tablespoon of vinager or lemon juice is added to batter. Sometimes half milk is substituted with water as well.

Very nice, it turned out very well.. I remember growing up with these in Holland, I have always liked them since young. Plus these kinda remind me of Somali crepes in some ways, especially the texture and the thinness.. Both kapot lekker✌✊

Thank you! I haven't had Jumbo Pannenkoeken in a long time, the last brand I had was the Jan Pannenkoeken. While they are yummy too, I haven't seen them in the U.S. and for me personally I really enjoy making my own home made ones since they can be eaten fresh 😊👍

The recipe I always use is as follows: 200 grams flour 500 ml milk 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon After putting butter in the pan, put stripes of bacon, then the batter and or put cheese on top. Sometimes banana etc. Eat it all with powdered sugar or syrup. Enjoy
