Do you just eyeball the guage?

I made the first one and then measured it, so I could match the second one. I measured out and calculated the gauge after baking, to account for any expansion/shrinkage during the curing process.

Hello, I just a quick question. I am trying to me these style of earrings too for a friend and your video really helped. However I'm confused as to how these are supposed to go on. I don't know anything about stretched ears so I'm a little confused. 🙊🤦🏻‍♀️ Does it just slide in?

Yup, they just slide right in. If you want to secure them further, you can use o-rings.

At what temperature do you bake them in?

Hi Rooster! Sorry I'm just seeing your comment! Bake time depends on the brand and size, so you'd want to check your clay's package for that information :)

Hi K G! Sorry for the late reply. It is high-temp sand, meant for incense, but I use it more for keeping things of this nature steady in the oven, so nothing falls over and gets squashed against the baking trays :)

For someone who has guages and bath with them polyclay is a bad product

I also have gauges. These are for short term, decorative wear only. I do not recommend bathing or swimming with any items that are not made with Acrylic or glass, as any other material can be damaged.

Polymer clay is HORRIBLE to make plugs! Really bad to use for jewelry
