Thankyou so much i did use glue gun but it sticks with the coaster edges. One way is you can gild them gold so they can add texture 😊.

Hey! Thank you for this video. This is the easiest and cheapest technique I have seen before. You said that if you don't use 100%sillicone it will stick to the tray. Even if it sticks will it still work and then maybe I could bin the tray after I have poured the resin?

Hi your welcome 😊 it will work and you can have a tray made its just the silicone will stuck on the sides but there is an option just colour the edges with Gold and cover them.

Awesome! Thank you for this amazing video, I've heard a lot about using silicone like this to make a mold, but have had a hard time finding a good video and well explained way to make it. Is there a different way to make the base, though? Rather than use the self adhesive liner, can I use saran wrap that is very carefully flattened out? Or just put the silicone on a marble cutting board and leave it as is to re use the mold on? I have a nice marble cutting board I'm never going to use and it's just sitting around. It's quite similar to yours lol

Hi Thankyou So Much for liking the video. You need a barrier in between the tile and silicone reason being the resin will stick to the marble.

Saran wrap is delicate it will rip easily amd your resin will get on marble so use any pvc plastic like the one you use for tablecloths i am adding reference the one you can use.

Could try a strip of some vinyl edging or something like it. It’s usually bendy and will give round corners. Ask a hardware store for what you need and trying to do and they should have something.👍🏻

How long did you wait after adding layers of silicone before you started shaping with your fingers? Mine was too sticky to do it right away and I also worry that a layer of messy silicone will be on the bottom of design near many areas of edge.

Hi I didn't wait make sure your using the dishwashing liquid on your fingers so the silicon won't stick to your fingers.

No absolutely no reason at all you can make the base with silicone but making it fully smooth is a challenge . The walls can be as higher as you like as well.
