We need to be getting calcium vitamin D, and vitamin K calcium absorption. I ordered my NATO from a company called Rhapsody had a Vermont they shipped by the case and it can be frozen or you can make your own using it as a starter. My kids eat it with rice with scallions, but I can’t take the texture, so I just take spoonful and swallow it like supplements I usually eat a fourth of a container a day also full of soy so flavins for estrogen because it’s fermented, it’s an extremely safe form of soy.

Do you mean once it’s already made or preserving the eggshells before preparing them into the powder? If you mean the prepared eggshell calcium powder, I like to store it in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. Sometimes I save one of those little packets from vitamin bottles to put inside to keep it fresher even longer. I then store it in a cool dark place like a kitchen cabinet out of the sunlight. If you’re referring to the eggshells I store those in the freezer until I have enough of them to make the powder.

What's the point of boiling to sterilise it, the oven won't sterilise it? It's literally a higher temperature. Also in other video it has been mentioned that eggshells are very abrasive and when used in plastic blenders, some microplastic particle can be produced which is obviously unhealthy. Also that thin skin layer on the inside of the eggshell apparently also has some good stuff in it, and so washing egg before cracking to get rid of the bacteria, and after cracking no washing else it will be removed.
@ChristinesNaturalKitchen Жыл бұрын
Thank you for all of these insightful points you make. Regarding boiling to sterilize it the idea is that impurities will be washed away into the water, which is slightly different than when just baking them. I agree with you about plastic blenders so ideally a glass blender would be used.

Check Your Math...Each gram of eggshells provides between 380-400mg of calcium. A teaspoon hold @ 5 grams. 5 grams = 5000 mg The Maximum amount of calcium needed by adults is 2000 mg and too much calcium can be bad for your health. The average amount needed by adults is @ 1000 grams per day. About 1/4 tsp per day would be about right by my math.

@@annetnawoova9226 You're welcome and here is a little more. Do Not peel out or rinse out the membrane after removing the egg from the shell as posted by others. The membrane is full of Collagen and other Proteins plus more beneficial Nutrients. Simply clean the egg shells with vinegar / water or other cleaning methods, then use the eggs and freeze the shells. After a couple of days in the freezer, I crush the shells, keep them in a large Glad bag back in the freezer.
