I own an online candy shop which is coming back for business after the new year. I can't keep peanut clusters or my several variants in stock! However the one thing I will say is that all of our candy is made to order so you can't get it in 3 days. When your order comes in it is then prepared and shipped so that its the freshest it can be.:-)

Curious where you live, I lived in Simi Valley for about 25 years, back in Texas since ‘95. Your statement about your nieces coming down from Camarillo made me think you might live in Simi as well.
@LetsBakeandCookStuff3 жыл бұрын
Hi. And thanks for your comment! No. I never lived in Similar Valley but I did live in Saugus/Canyon Country in the 70s. That’s as close as I got to Simi. Lol. Now I’m in Banning CA just east of Palm Springs. Take care and thanks for watching!!

There is absolutely no need to worry about them being in date or as you said in code. When you taste one if it's rancid they've gone off and it won't hurt you just throw them away. Dates are arbitrary and mean nothing and I was a position and a scientist so I know this to be true! Merry Christmas to you and all your family!
@LetsBakeandCookStuff3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that information. I often felt the dates were arbitrary. Appreciate your comments.

How do you stop them from melting in your fingers while eatting them?
@LetsBakeandCookStuff6 ай бұрын
I'm not sure that is possible to stop them from melting - Chill them in the fridge for sure. I actually LOVE them right out of the freezer.
@YuYuBee2017-cn3xh9 ай бұрын
If you add a tablespoon of coconut oil, the chocolate will stir easily and the chocolate will have a very shiny sheen which looks nice.
@LetsBakeandCookStuff9 ай бұрын
Great tip! Thanks. I’ll try that. I love shiny things in general. I think I’d love shiny clusters!! Appreciate your thoughts!

Is it really necessary to freeze ir fridge these? Or can I just leave them out.
@LetsBakeandCookStuff3 жыл бұрын
No. Not at all. It just speeds up the wait time. These will definitely harden at room temperature. Hi. And thanks for watching!!

Do I need to keep them refrigerated or only the first hour? Look easy and great
@LetsBakeandCookStuff2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracy and thanks for this question. They can stay at room temp after they have firmed up but they’ll last longer in the fridge and even longer in the freezer. We actually like them cold but they are harder to eat. Enjoy. And happy holidays.

Can you add Carmel to it ?
@LetsBakeandCookStuff3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm. I bet you could but I’d do it after they’re done in the microwave. Like push a caramel into them or place the caramel on the wax paper, then top the caramel with the chocolate/peanut mixture. You have me thinking tho and I’m going to try it. If it works out I’ll do a video. If not, I’ll report back. 😃. I really appreciate your comment so thanks so much. I am going to try this as soon as possible.

Those are some really big clusters. I like the idea of using a scooper but if I were making clusters that big I think I'd add some cream to the chocolate to it would be easier to bite through. I'm still not convinced melting chocolate in the microwave is a good idea. I feel like I have more control when I do it in a double boiler but if it works for you it's easier.
@LetsBakeandCookStuff Жыл бұрын
I have never tried adding cream but it sounds like a great idea - sort of like a ganache?? These are pretty easy to eat but I'd try it just to see how it goes. I have been making these in the microwave since my son was a baby (he's going to be 37 in April) and never had an issue but I understand your hesitation to do that. I appreciate your thoughtful comments and thanks so much for watching!!
