@@itstonyholiday Sure! There are many good teachers for producers on youtube, you are one of them. Please keep up the good work, And I am looking forward to see Korean subtitle soon Which means I hope you earn more international fans like me.

Can’t tell you how much I appreciate the comment. For me I just like meeting other producers and problem solving, so I’m happy that you like the content. I take it you’re from South Korea? I’ve been diving into doing more Korean artists for videos so definitely want to get some subtitles done for them. Cheers 🙌

@@itstonyholiday Yes. I live in Seoul, South Korea. I may correct the auto-generated Korean subtitle if needed.

Totally! I wish I had a video of me when I started without using shortcuts in comparison with me now. It's night and day once you get a good workflow down. Thanks for the comment!

How did you invert the notes in the piano

I should’ve clarified that in the video. Shift + option + up/down arrow keys

Great video (also I really appreciate the Monday memos)! I'm curious on your thoughts about humanize vs swinging hi hats (there's a swing slider in piano roll next to note quantize) and your decision not to play the root notes of the chords on the 808.
@itstonyholiday3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Glad you found the content useful and enjoy MM 👍 really appreciate you watching + the comment. Swing and humanize are different things. I’m not exactly sure how to put swing into words but if you test both of them in the midi you’ll see what I mean. As for the 808, you don’t always have to mirror the bass notes of the chords. In the case for this beat because it’s so simple it’s not a bad idea to make an 808 pattern move around a bit. But at the end of the day it’s up to you! Again appreciate you reaching out!

Hi Tony, thanks for more great content. Could I just check - what did you automate with decreasing volume on the violas to get the underwater effect? Many Thanks as always
@itstonyholiday3 жыл бұрын
Hey Cal, i would’ve used a high cut on channel EQ. Under the menu on automation it would be “high cut frequencies”. Thanks for watching and the comment!
