How to make encaustic wax medium

After colour-swatching my new encaustic wax paints last week I thought I would show you how I make my encaustic medium base. This is how I make encaustic medium ready to add colour.
I make a lot of my own art supplies and making encaustic medium is by far the easiest art supply to make. Making your own encaustic wax medium is also very cost-effective and will save you money compared to a brand like R&F encaustic medium.
Encaustic medium is made of only 2 ingredients. Bleached Beeswax and Damar Resin. You have seen me working with Bleached Beeswax before in

To make encaustic medium I use
1 pound of beeswax to 1/4 cup of damar resin. I show you every step to making your own encaustic medium so it is foolproof.
