What a fantastic video! When you get a slab like the one used in the video, are there any steps required (i.e. letting it sit to dry out, treating with a certain chemical) before it can be made into a piece of furniture?
@QtheLaserDude
@QtheLaserDude Жыл бұрын
I know I am two years late, but yes. The most important thing to do is ensure it's dry. Wet wood will rot, no matter what. The general rule is 1 year of drying for every inch thick the slab is. A kiln drying service will speed this up exponentially. I actually have a few slabs in a kiln across town right now!

Hi, Epoxy I have used is fully cured after 24 hours. Before pouring next layer resin must be cure enough that it will not move it location. We can check it by touching skewer on the surface it will mark some bump on surface but should not stick resin on tip of skewer. I pour next layer after 4 to 5 hours gap.
