Sir I think there is no need to make separate notesfor prelims n mains. Prelims mostly based on facts .mains concept based. So in notes if we club facts n concepts. It's fine coz .if we can read both concept and facts we can mark answer correctly in prelims . And in mains also we tend to use facts along with analytical concepts in answers. Plz put ur opinion on this.

What u r saying is 100% true, but here d problem is, d topics like polity or economy envi dynamic in nature which gets ample of ample of ample notes which u can't able to study every thing, if so might fed up, or cant able to. For mains exam u need to right objective answers which should be life deep analysis which u get only through revising ample of time, with that much unnecessary things no need and don't have time too to write that much.

Believe me if you are prepairing for UPSC 2022 ,then plz start with STEP 1-- Class VI Mathematics N.C.E.R.T. and STOP NOT unless you've solved class X N.C.E.R.T. EVERYDAY just give 30 minutes . Begin from chapter 1 and do not skip any chapter , any section , any question. Trust me , within 3 month (45 hrs) you will develop 1) confidence 2) accuracy in quants. STEP 2- For English also , just begin with class VI English grammar N.C.E.R.T. and continue in the same manner as I have recommended for math. STEP 3- "Only after this" , go for reasoning.Search each and every topic on KZbin regarding reasoning , rather than going for Reasoning by R.S. Aggarwal. STEP 4- THEN only buy some coaching material for practicing question and learning trick. Thus learning trick , comes last. What is most essential is learning basics. Reason why I recommend to start from class VI is, it will give you sense of "ohh I've already done this when I was kid, its easy -peasy" so this feeling will help you sail through questions , or topic which you find challenging. In 2020 , my friend suggest it and withing 10 month of my prepration I cleared IBPS exam. Now I m preparing for UPSC. It did wonders for me , hope it will serve you're purpose as well.
