Aerospace engineer here and I like the simplicity of this. It shows you have a great understanding of the basics of how things work and there's NOT enough of that these days. I haven't done any of this sort of stuff in many years. However I did notice you made a mistake on the circuit diagram. Look at where you connected the negative from the power supply on the diagram and where you actually clipped on the lead. NO PROB I've done that myself. What I'd love to see you do is give a brief explanation of WHY it works as it does and maybe explain what would happen if you change the capacitors or the resistors that make up the flip-flop rate. Despite all that we have in technology these days flip-flops are still critical to our lives. I actually work in industrial control systems and a lot of that is using very basic functions like flip-flops and latches its just that by the time we combine lots of things together it seems complicated and actually can be due to all the interactions going on. One of the major failures I have seen in younger engineers is their lack of understanding basic circuits. Day to day we don't think about how things like latches and flip flops work we just use them. HOWEVER when people forget what these basic functions do and how they do it you can get some massive problems and in my world you can break expensive things. Plus it can be a nightmare to fix. I have had to completely re-design systems and/or re-write the code for systems FROM SCRATCH all because the person before me just didn't understand or completely forgot one or more basic principles. This is the first of your videos I have seen and a brief look at you other work says you know your stuff real well. So don't hold back explaining why these things work. You don't need to lecture just a basic 60 second run down is fine.
