E6000 takes about 24 hours to dry. For added strength I would definitely use it in addition to the hot glue. Hot glue over time on a glossy surface will loosen and come apart. Just my opinion....but your teacups are absolutely stunning! Very much looking forward to more videos!!❤️❤️❤️

Thinks for the tip. I have collected a lot of teacups and saucers and wanted to try and make these. I'll be sure to use the E6000 along with a hot glue gun.

Thank you so much for your videos!!! your film has launched a new hobby for me. Here is suggestion for increasing the stability of your arrangements. instead of using decorative tile or stones, use a tea plate or as we call in the USA, a bread and butter plate, it adds stability like you would not believe!! Thanks for introducing me to a new hobby

Very nice.. I love them, they are beautiful. Am trying to make... I used the E6000 to glue the forks to the saucer and cup.. my first one I let set for several hours.. As I was putting on the flowers, the cup fell off.. now, am letting them set up for 24 hours or more.. I propped up the cup with a can .. after several hours, I started putting on the rocks for weight on the saucer and then glued on flowers and shells.. will take the can from under the cup after 72 hours and hope they hold together...I used the glue gun for the rocks and flowers... they are beautiful and I love the idea... want to make to give to my sister at Thanksgiving..

I also do crafts I experiment with different glues. The best is clear silicon in a tube. I have yard art that I gave as gifts years ago and they are still holding. I figure if it holds windows, tiles, it will hold dishes and plates together. The only downside is you need to let the pieces cure, I found 24 hours best. I assemble pieces then sit aside and work on another project. Hope this helps. Happy crafting

When using E6000 you got to put a bit of hot glue on your project along with the E6000 it will hold the thing your glueing in place while the E6000 sets up.

Try making a ridge on the underside of the plate in a thick row to keep it from tipping or use some small rocks glued into place. Then no need to weigh down the plate.

So this is a lovely piece. However, I wanted to just suggest that you use E6000 AND Hot glue together. The hot glue will hold the piece together while the E6000 cures. These two glues really do compliment one another.

Becky .. You have the cutest shabby chic ideas .. Looking at the project from the web .. Is adorable .. Have you thought about angling the cup somewhat slanting down .. It gives more of a tipping ..pouring of the cup. I had made some for a community sale .. I had to bend mine to look more like the cup was pouring .. Just Sharing my thoughts. 😊

I've never seen this before but I enjoy crafts as for hiding the fork cold you not paste the fork with some glue and put some fake moss or even green coloured sand that are available from craft stores ? then at least the fork might look more like a stem of one of the flowers , just a thought.
