Thank you for putting the ingredients in English. I really appreciate that. They look delicious, and now I can try to make them. Thank you 😊

For everyone confused about the baking soda/ powder it’s baking powder because in Honduras the people call baking powder “soda”

What kind of cheese do you typically use for baleadas in the United States?
@LaniguiCatracho7 жыл бұрын
Since is difficult to find the Queso duro (crumbled Cheese), you can use Parmesan or Cotija Cheese. We found good results with Parmesan Cheese as it adds that salty taste to the refried beans or the whole mix. Let us know if you have any other questions.

I found crumbled Honduran cheese in a bodega by my house and it was delicious! But my tortillas were a little tougher than I was hoping for. It's hard for me to stretch the dough in my hands. Do you have any advice for a beginner?
@LaniguiCatracho7 жыл бұрын
Karen, I'm glad you were able to find the right cheese in a bodega (love the term bodega) and that it was delicious. Regarding stretching the dough in your hands, Do you mind sending us an email to laniguicatracho@gmail.com with more details. Maybe we can provide a more detailed explanation on the technique. We are here to help. Thank you for following our channel.

Baleadas are just a copy of Mexican tacos made with flour tortilla. We make with flour tortillas quesadillas,burritos and tacos de harina. Latian America copies everything from Mexico like tacos, guacamole, tamales, tortas, mole,nachos, gorditas, and I can go on and on. They just change name of the Mexican dish or change some ingrediente and claim that it belongs to there country shameful.

Should be 1/2 teaspoon baking powder!!!!
@KevinHullinger4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The baking soda is 1 teaspoon not 1 tablespoon.
@LaniguiCatracho4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin, the correct amount will be 1TBS. I'm not sure if there's a mistake on the video, but it should be Baking Soda. This was one of my first videos and may need to revisit at one point. I hope this answers your question. Thank you. You can also refer to my latest video (in Spanish), but the concept is more step by step kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6mvlquXi9hspLs

Lanigui Catracho thank you. I used one tablespoon and it seemed to make them rise a lot. Your correct it’s baking soda my fault.
