Since Preston doesn't sell bristle grease in the United States, do you have another product that works well that can be purchased in the U.S.?

Does the wax stay on the leader well for a decent amount of time? Great video thank you for sharing.

Yeah, but it depends on presentation and use. Re-apply every hour if need be. I only use it if a) I’m struggling to see my indicator section or b) I need the indicator section to float for a certain style of presentation

Would love to do this. Can someone translate "bristle grease" into Canadian?

Great Video.. do you think you could substitute the bristle grease for some Vaseline then add dye for colour choice?
@TheAnxiousAngler4 жыл бұрын
Not sure, give it a go. Bristle Grease is harder than Vaseline though so you’ll end up with something very soft

Great video... How much dye did you add in and what brand did you use ?
@TheAnxiousAngler4 жыл бұрын
I’ve got some old dyes here that I used to use for fritz, think they are from Steve Parton... it doesn’t take much at all, not even a quarter of a teaspoon, just add a tiny sprinkle at a time to get the colour you’re after. The yellow colour is just the standard bristle grease colour without any dye added.

The Anxious Angler were the Sparton dyes similar at all to the veniards ones ? As they are all that’s readily available now I believe and thanks for the video

Marc Anderson yeah, pretty much the same. Both powder based dyes.

Will this work in cold temps? 5°c down to -10°c ? I fish for Great Lakes Steelhead in cold months and have read that the waxes don't work well in the cold weather... How could I modify your recipe, more gink?
@TheAnxiousAngler3 жыл бұрын
Don’t see why it wouldn’t work, I’ve used them here down to -2 degrees without any issues
