A few weeks ago I made a Palm Router holder out of waste MDF to test the design, after using it since then its proven ideal so its time to make them out of something more appropriate, without screws.
Unfortunately I made a booboo.....

Hello Graham (?), hope you do not mind the informal approach? Only just caught this piece having recently installed French Cleats in my tiny workshop (ex-garage). Learnt a few tricks watching you work, thank you and, honestly, really impressed with your delivery style, so easy to watch for this hobbyist - instant subscribe… 👍🏻 Cheers, Rog… 🐍

Watching something fit together beautifully like that is sooo satisfying! That jig is awesome! 👏👏👏 I can't let my routers see this... they will feel bad that they are all just shoved in a drawer together 😂

The routing jig is a superb idea. I will need to incorporate this next time I need a profile jig. It looks like glue was put in one of the wrong grooves about the 20 minute mark - not saying that I have never done this - LOL. Steve

Hi Steve, thanks, it made a tedious job quick safe and enjoyable. As for the glue, 😢😢😢 didn't notice until I watched the vid back myself.

I have to admit, that was kinda like a eureka moment for me as well. Of course followed by the self deprication of, "why didn't you think of that, dummy..." Having the handles is a big seller in my camp as well!

Great project👍. Why change bits when you can change routers🤣😂 I love seeing people that have mastered a particular tool so well that their first work out for a dilemma is something us weekend warriors wouldn't even consider...and make it look like it's the only way 🤣😂.

Do you have a video on the build of the wall cabinet with the doors behind you in this video? Really like the videos! Thanks!

Hi Stephen, sadly I don't, I built it before I started the channel. I will however be building (and videoing) a Vanity cabinet and matching wall cabinet in the coming weeks using virtually the same techniques. 👍

Lovely job! I really like how you took the time to do a proper prototype first and only decided to invest more time and material when it worked as you hoped. Do you have an Instagram channel by any chance?

Did you consider pin nails to hold cleats in place?

Hi Michael, no I rarely use pin nails, I don't have a pin nailer so I never really consider them.

@@GTWoodshop I caught it, but wasn't going to say anything. Isn't it funny how one small mistake (cutting channel in the wrong place) can lead to another (gluing that wrong channel). It happens all the time in my shop. But it's no big deal, the holders look excellent. Thanks for making the video. I made my router holder in a cruder way, glue&screw, and no place to tuck the cord.

Too busy to edit this or add a note. It has been pointed out several times you glued the wrong channel. But you were wise enough earlier to point out cutting extra channels. So WTF , why the faker attitude. Fix it or edit it. You know you care.
