Short and sweet! 👌 What tastes better or lasts longer, boiling before storing in fridge or storing without boiling?
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner3 жыл бұрын
Hi @Sushant storing without boiling tastes far better because the juices are then preserved. Freezing after boiling will make the chicken very dry and rubbery. As far as which lasts longer, the cooked one probably will, because by cooking you're eliminating the bacteria before freezing. But taste and texture often depend on person to person so why dont you try it out for yourself and see 😊

Do you add any spices or herbs or salt or garlic to the minced chicken before forming the sausages?
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner2 жыл бұрын
Hi @anamits we've added salt and pepper (as shown in the video) but nothing else. The idea was focus of the technique of making sausages at home so we kept the sausage simple. You are most welcome to add whatever spices you'd like in your sausages 😊

@JyotisLittleTreatCorner3 жыл бұрын
Hi Madhavi, as I've said in a reply to a previous comment, I have kept is for as long as 3 months to 4 months and we've had no problems with it. But to be on the safer side, I'd say 1 month is a good amount of time, as long as it remains completely frozen.

Can we follow the same method to make pork sausages?
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner3 жыл бұрын
Hi @Manoj, I can't say for sure because I have never tried it. There is a possibility that, because of the fat that will melt, the sausage will fall apart while frying. But please try it and let us know how it turns out. I just have one warning. Please cover the pork sausages while frying because the fat might splash on you.

Is it safe to store food in plastic wraps?
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner2 жыл бұрын
Hi @navya, we have had no issues storing food in cling film. Scientifically all plastics are considered harmful in the long run. But apart from that, no I do not see any ill effect of storing food in cling film.

Hi @landeize you're not cooking in the plastic you're only storing. You can maybe dust it with some flour and pile them into a box. But I haven't tried that so please let us know your experience if you do try it out.

Any idea how many calories does 1 sausage have
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mehek, that will depend entirely on the kind of chicken mince you are using. Chicken thigh mince will be higher in calories than chicken breast mince. Also, usually, fat is not removed from the chicken before mincing so that they remain juicy. This sausage tastes best with chicken mince of the thigh (with its fat), which would be between 200 to 300 calories in 100g of the meat, according to the net.

Where is the preservation part
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner3 жыл бұрын
Hi @Rishu Dalmotra, the preservation part is freezing it. You dont need to do anything else.
@Debsilvermusic Жыл бұрын
My amount always said don't cook chicken from frozen what do you think?
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner Жыл бұрын
Hi @Debsilvermusic, it depends on what the reason is for not cooking frozen chicken. For example, usually when you cook frozen chicken (meaning big chunks of chicken pieces), the outside gets cooked, but the center does not get cooked so well. In this case, because the sausages are thin the heat reaches the center pretty easily so it gets cooked well. Apart from that, so far as we have researched we have found no evidence that suggests that there are harmful effects to cooking frozen meat directly. Usually the danger is in cooking frozen meat in lower temperatures because then the meat takes time to get hot. The longer meat stays in warm temperatures the more chances of bacterial growth. However, if the meat cooks quickly then it shouldn't be a problem. As far as we can tell we have not experienced any side effects so far either. So honestly, I think it is your choice. If you do not feel comfortable cooking frozen meat you can just take it out from the casing, let it thaw completely and then cook it.

This video is about the method of making sausages and not any specific kind of flavor for the sausage, that's why we've kept it to simple salt and pepper. Isn't the best part of cooking being able to choose your flavors based on your palate? At least I feel so🤷😊

Your poor cat is over weight. If you love her/him please take pity on joint, she will love you longer.
@JyotisLittleTreatCorner3 жыл бұрын
@Cody Cody, 😄😄😄 looks can be deceiving! Aaaalllll of that size you see is fluff, and probably my arm, and probably the way I'm carrying her, but my cat weighs 2.8kgs which is just over 6 pounds, which I'm actually told by vets may just be on the slightly underweight side. For your satisfaction, please look at the Instagram account instagram.com/ruiash to get a better idea of her size, although her fur can still be mistaken for weight. Also, I, myself am 4 feet 7 inches in height so Rui looks big in my arms. While I appreciate your love for animals and your good intentions, I did not care too much for your judgemental tone. For all you know, even if someone's cat is overweight, the cat may be suffering from something, or the pet parents may be doing all they can for their pet. It's rather unfair, and ignorant to jump to conclusions, and insinuate that the parents are doing a bad job of taking care of their pet based on a 15sec clip. So I would suggest that you show equal kindness and consideration to human beings as well.
