This looks yummy. Now I realized the difference between nigerian and Ghanaian stews is that Ghanaians use more onions, ginger and garlic than Nigerians do. In a stew like this we'll probably use 3 large onions some more ginger and garlic even though we used it to season the meat too haha. My Caucasian hubby loves smoked turkey so I'll use that to make this stew. I also love adding red bell pepper to my stew such good flavor and aroma yummy 😋 😍 I love your videos Sisi 😄💞😘

From your explanation, I think I also love how Ghanaians make their stew too. Also the flavor from smoked Turkey is just perfect in stews 😍

One of the things that I do now to make a little healthier is taking the boiled meat out of the broth and letting it cool. I place the broth in the fridge to cool for several hours and then remove the thick hardened layer of fat from the top and set aside for another time for frying onions. I sometimes freeze the broth and meat separately to make stew later. I make large batches of stew and freeze flat in ziploc freezer bags. When I am ready to make stew, I set out the meat, broth and stew sauce in the morning and then air fry the meat, warm up the sauce with broth and let it reduce a little then add the meat and simmer until the eba is ready. p.s. I prefer pounded yam, but a small yam is $15 usd ($20 CDN) and my husband outright refuses to spend that on yam.
