Thank you lovely! I was lucky as I started in my early 20’s with no bills. It’s scary to take the jump and start fresh later on in life for sure! Xx

hi Jemma, wow! this cross tribute is gorgeous and so different to the traditional ones. As hydrangeas are very thirsty flowers, how do they cope int he foam? thank you kindly as always for sharing your amazing floral design talents with us

I love your tutorials! I am new to trying out floristry but absolutely inspired watching your videos. Perhaps it has been mentioned already but how do you extend the life of the flowers in the display? Is there a flower food or spray? 🙂

Hi lovely! Thank you so much! That means a lot. With a floral foam arrangement, I just tell the customer to keep the floral foam wet so water every 2 days and water spray the heads xx

Absolutely Stunning! Such a great idea to separate the hydrangea. Do you do all your designing out of this studio or is this your combined floral shop?
@jemsfloralstudiotheacademy70918 ай бұрын
Thank you!! I know, the hydrangea is so much better as it makes it look full of flowers and you don’t have to use as many single heads to get the same effect. It’s a nice little trick. I do everything out my studio. I have an upstairs though as well xx

Job well done. Do u have a video on how u calculate how many flowers u need or a rule of thumb? If u don’t would u consider making one
@jemsfloralstudiotheacademy70918 ай бұрын
Hiya! Thank you for your message. I have a video on pricing funeral flowers and pricing in general. But In a nutshell, the price of the flowers you buy x this by 3 (or whichever mark up you would like to put on)

Yea I seen that one it was very helpful thanks. What I mean is for example gates of heave or letters ect how do u work out how many bunches it requires.

That is NOT how you get water into Oasis. You'll create air bubbles within, and then the flowers won't get properly watered. Better to get that extra large container so you can soak it, or use multiple smaller pieces pf Oasis to fill the cross shape after you have allowed them to absorb water. If you're going to do all that work and then charge someone for it, there's no reason to not do it properly.
@jemsfloralstudiotheacademy70913 ай бұрын
I use warm water which helps avoid air bubbles in these situations. If you have watched any of my other videos I explain this regularly how to soak oasis properly. I also say you can soak them in the bath if you need to as long as there is no soap residue. Which container do you use? Xx

@@jemsfloralstudiotheacademy7091 the bath tub is a great idea if it's wide enough, or even a trough if you have that kind of situation. I'd have to use several smaller pieces of Oasis if I ever did this.
