ill say it again. the problem isnt garen atm. the problem is crit items are broken. phantom dancer should be a 2800-2900 gold item and not 2600. and its not just garen with crit items, its ADC too. they are too strong when they hit their power spikes. they just need a few minutes longer than garen to reach that level because of solo lane xp and gold (plates worth less with 2 people and harder to break on bot turrets). navori is too stong too, and some of the other crit items like infinity edge should have a few AD shaved off them. think about it, would garen snowball this hard if pd wasnt busted and it would be better to go like triforce second? tryndamere and yi are S+ tier too right now. take a guess why. if riot nerfs garen instead of crit im actually gonna be mad, because other champions are allowed to be busted with those items? why?

Garen 70% HP with D-shield vs Gwen with Doran's ring+amp tome+cloth armor ''she's in kill range'' kills her while barely losing any HP. That is just insane xD

ignite takes another 10% to 15% off her, so shes technically at 60% to 55% before the fight starts. since she has tp and not ignite herself thats a massive advantage. from there, he just has to get her close to 20% with his q and e to secure the kill with r. that means her actual range of health shes able to work with is more like 40% to 35%. the whole situation changes drastically when garen and gwen are both at 80% or 90% because if you cant get her into r range, you dont have kill pressure and she wins the all in and probably kills you. this is something people generally dont seem to understand about garen. you can hard win fights when youre close to full health and all in garen and fight to the death, but if youre both at lets say 60% health then garen wins, and the lower both sides are before the start of the fight, the higher garen has a chance to win compared to both being full health when the fight starts.

Play ghost flash volibear with pta and secondary nimbus and celerity, be extremely aggressive, you'll always win. Specially when your jungler ganks, but you dont even need him lol

Answer to title is second wind + d-shield and you cant die early :) The vayne matchup can be a nightmare if her kiting is good and without some ganks you are probably gonna suffer.
