gina, you r just one great cook. you cook with love, i can tell, and so neat about it. when u love what u do. and it is a tallent. i am a third generation of great cooks. from grand ma down. you know good food. and i agree with you green bell peppers r the best. try the long hots just fried in oil, than well salted when u take em out. on good bread with in season fresh tomato slices. and u can add some fried bell peppers, so it won't be too hot. perfect summer sandwich. plain and simple. i so love your prayers, and watching you makes me feel peaceful. you've got it. god bless you and yours. keep on a cookin. thank you, jo

Well i wouldn't say that northern ppl don't use bag beans cos I'm from New Jersey and that's the Only kind of beans i cook. I never cooked beans from a can!! And I'm 63yrs old. :)

Another delicious meal!! I will definitely make these with smoked turkey. I don't eat pork anymore, but I grew up in a southern family. We ate plenty of pork based meals. I will admit, I use to absolutely love me some pork neck bones in the beans and greens...lol I love your meals, and how you always pray before you eat. It is the best way to start every meal 😊. I'm a southern man that moved to the North many years ago. I love southern food with a passion. Most women here in the North don't care for southern food. Especially pinto beans and great northern beans. It hard to find a woman that will cook them or let me cook them, lol. Once in a great while I get cook myself a mess of pinto beans with pork bacon frayed on the side and corn bread. I think you are an amazing lady. Your husband is a very lucky man. Hi Gina.....I love white beans...I usually cook white beans every Monday.* I love mine with ham, but my family prefers them with smoke sausage. I didn’t have any ham one day and it was pouring outside so I just threw some sausage in and from then on, they only eat them with sausage. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good with sausage too. And we also add a lil bit of syrup in our bowl of beans, sometimes a lil mustard, and always with cornbread on the side. I’m in Louisiana, so cornbread is a staple around here. I soak the beans overnight. Drain and place in crock pot with clean water , baking soda and a little bit of tomatoe juice. I Think I've Stumbled Onto The Best Recipe Ever! Thx!

Hi Miss Gina Young I love how you go back to old skool' with your cooking the only problem is it looks so delicious and wonderful I am a type 2 diabetic and I couldn't eat it so maybe some recipes for people that are diabetic the salt from the meat is self would be enough 2 keep adding more and more salt I just couldn't indulge in your delicious food! there are people that have high blood pressure so maybe some recipes for us but I just I just love your spiritual attitude that you're so sweet, I'm also a devout Christian woman so I love💝 ur spirit I would love 2 taste some of your food one day even 4 (us ) Diabetics love always keep doin' thang!

Wow Gina!! I made this today ... You can not say enough good things about this!! It's more than awesome. I found a pan on Amazon pretty much just like this one. I soaked my beans last night and then pan came today! Girl I ordered a 13 qt!! It's so big and just right too. I had so much fun and gave half to my daughter. She said OMGOSH these are so good and they smell good. I told her Gina said "You better make you some" !!! So much fun!! I will be using this pan so often. Thank you for another great recipe!! Looks delicious Gina! I love , love, love great northern beans!!! My grandmother and great grandmother cooked them very often! My mother cooked black eyed peas and pinto beans they were all delicious and I learned from each one of them how to cook them.😋🙂😋 My grandmother and great grandmother would make candied sweets with their beans. My mother would make candy sweets or serve apple sauce with her beans or peas but what we always had with all of them was delicious cornbread! I can’t eat them without cornbread. 😊 My mother would often cook beans in her crockpot/slow cooker and taught me that way too ...they are delicious and easy! #preciousmemories
