Thank you for the template, that’s super helpful. I’ve used Fresco for a long time and wanted to expand my toolkit. I was recently in a hefty car crash, and a woman saw the tail end of it and pulled over to help. It was super sudden (an oncoming distracted driver veered into my lane, and we only narrowly missed having a full head-on collision, but still struck each other and spun out.) I was in so much shock that I didn’t realize my car was sitting completely across a lane of oncoming highway traffic just behind a blind curve in pitch blackness. This lady probably saved my life from a secondary impact. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around how to even approach saying thank you, and realized that an art piece with an accompanying thank you card would feel the most authentic. Thank YOU for making the template available, it makes it so much easier to get started ❤️

Genevieve, thanks for this video. I’ve been designing my own greeting cards for over 30 years. I’ve been using Procreate for almost a year now. This video is the key to completely integrating my old love of designing and making my own greeting cards with my newfound love of designing in Procreate. It’s like a great Christmas gift for me! Also, even after 30 years of designing and printing my own cards, your tip on how to cut out the card without losing the cutting lines around the edges was very helpful. Great tip! As well, the tip about not letting the design bleed into the printer margins was helpful to me. Shows me there’s possibly something to be learned no matter what one’s experience might be. Thanks for the template. 😄

I finally got to turn one of my pictures into a card. I took the Polar Bear one, and because of you making us name the layers, I was easily able to take the sweater layer and change the colour to match my niece's school colours. I had a hard time printing--I was getting vertical lines and the subtle textures weren't showing up on the cardstock. I was using the correct printer drivers (not the generic Windows one), using High Quality. I spent a lot of time cleaning the print heads and doing nozzle tests. It got worse before it suddenly got better. I'm glad I kept trying! I'm going to turn the bear into a sticker for the envelop. I did find that the card was not quite the A7 size my envelope maker says an A7 is. Not a big deal. I'll post to IG in a couple days once my niece gets it. Thank you for the template and tutorial! I'm wondering about paper options. Printing on photo paper looks better, but it always has stuff printed on the back. Is there a glossier cardstock available for making cards? I feel my cardstock is a little dull and matte.

Thank you thank you...this is just what I needed for making cards. I do have a printing question. My canvas color profile will be set to CMYK. I'll create something that looks vibrant on screen but when printed becomes so muted it is unattractive. Is there a solution???

Jpg images are compressed by nature. When you want to print, pdf's are always a better option 😊

Geneviève, Thank you very much for your videos. I love them and learn a lot from them. 🥰 After the release of your latest video, I made 2 cards straight away !! One with the skating bunny and another one with my own character that I drew using a template in your illustration bundle. I’ m so happy because I love making cards and these are my first digital ones. I just have to print them now. Hopefully, the size will be alright since here in France we use A4. Otherwise I’ll crop it a little bit. I’d love to print some smaller ones, half the size. I have to figure out how i can do that. 🤔 Thanks again. 😊

That's awesome, Nathalie! I think you can use the Procreate crop tool to make the template sit on an A4, just make sure you are cropping and not resizing 😊

I’m a little confused. When I open up the file in procreate in instructions. Do I have to open on a laptop or can I open the template in procreate? I believe I purchased this pattern last year but was never able to get it to work. When I extract it and open in photoshop it says not a correct form for photoshop to open. Can you help?

How can I create a guide like this that makes the same size greeting card but that is for a printer that uses A4 paper instead of 8.5 x 11?

You could use this template and use the crop tool within Procreate to make it an A4 😊 That being said, I'm not 100% sure there would be enough space for the card + bleed + printer margin on an A4 paper 🤔
