Just remember, kids, never buy gribenes from a mohel.

LOL!!! Actually, when I was cooking gribenes tonight for the first time, I kept thinking "but they're CHEWY!" and laughing over Robin Williams' joke...after several times straining more shmaltz and returning to the skillet, I got to the non-mohel stage. 🤣

Your commentary is 100% pure schmaltzy goodness from start to finish.

You had me at "With Trump in the world"... I never purchased a jug o'bourbon before tRump, but I poured my aching heart and wallet into Evan Williams' coffers for four long years. Also, thanks for the gribenes demo, I'm trying to find recipes for my sweet old Jewish elder-care client, and I'm going to surprise her with cholent on Saturday, and chopped liver with gribenes on Sunday. 😘

Excellent video, and I love your commentary! I've got a whole bunch of frozen saved chicken skin, but I haven't made gribenes in a very long time, so I wanted a quick refresher - yours looks amazing!

Thanks!! Hope yours comes out great!

Hahaha, I loved this video. Here in Mexico, people just throw away the skin and I just got curios if I could make something tasty with it. I'm definitely doing your recipe and I'll also consider drinking bourbon lol.

Awesome! I think of gribenes as the Jewish version of chicharrones :-)

This is a very good recipe, you need patience. The nice part is that you can add it to any Kishka recipe! Yum.
