After cleaning the meat, I thought you were supposed to put boiled water over the meat and let it sit in it, then season the meat, then cook it? I’m just asking b/c I watch different videos to learn how to cook but I guess everyone does it differently.
@dorannette266 жыл бұрын
TheChocolatedelight8 i do all that off camera to save time, because I don like my videos to be to long. I am Haitian, my dear, cleaning meat is the first thing I was taught as a little girl. Thanks for your comment.

I just made this again the other day and it was delicious! But I had a question did you used cut up turkey wings? Because when I go to bravo market they have the turkey wings that you can cut up in small pieces or turkey necks. Huge fan here ☺️

Hi Annette. What brand of tomatoe paste do you use? My sauces sometimes are a little sour. How can I prevent the sauce from getting sour other than using sugar? Thanks.
@dorannette266 жыл бұрын
CMF ..you might want to cut back on seasoning or lime juice, that may be cause of it being sour. I use muirglen organic tomato paste, hunts, contadina and Walmart’s organic tomato paste.

How long do you usually cook it for after adding the water?
@dorannette266 жыл бұрын
Danny ... about 30 to 40 minutes on number 2.. or until tender... the key is to let it slow cook, so all the flavor will get into the meat. I hope that helped.

Hello Annette, my wife is haitian but her brother is skeptical of migrating to turkey from Haiti. He is scared there are no Haitians in Turkey that he can relate to or show him around. What can you say to this?
@dorannette263 жыл бұрын
Well, his sister can take him around and teach him the English language. After a few years, he could migrate to a different part of the world where there is more Haitians.

Why do you add the vinegar while its cooking? That's interesting
@dorannette264 жыл бұрын
You can use vinegar to tenderize meat in two ways - as a marinade or in cooking water. I used it so my turkey can be very tender.
