She is entertaining. Had to find out what i was missing because my chicken was not having as much flavor as my mom and grandma and it sometimes was a hit or miss of "smelling like outside" "Kri" lol Great recipe. The only 2 things is Maggie and those tablets are usually loaded with MSGs which isnt healthy so i use alternatives such as Adobo After my mom got high cholesterol she also started baking her chicken to brown it instead of pan frying so i also adopted that for prevention

I greatly appreciate the measurements. I married into a Haitian family and I’m trying to learn and I ask my MIL and SIL and they always tell me a little of this and a little of that which I know is the norm but it is not very helpful for learning.

Same. I'm haitian American too. My mom was always sick and then died when I was 18. I had so many responsibilities taking care of my younger siblings afterwards and never knew how to cook haitian food well. I didn't really know how to cook haitian well til lik 2 or 3 years ago. I always look up haitian videos to learn because I don't want to go back to the horrible lifestyle of taking out or asking family members to give me food out of pity.

@INNERGS11 ай бұрын
cutting in their hands is definitely apart of the culture. i see it in other cultures as well. as long as you know what you're doing, you're confident, its okay. i am sure she comes from a long line of woman who prepare this way. every haitian woman I have been around cut in their hands. its ancient & sacred.

FYI please do your researc. MSG is not bad for you. It’s only really bad in processed foods or anything that is unhealthy for you to eat. But like a said do your research. Maggi is not bad for you in homemade healthy foods.
