This video shows a thorough step by step on how to make a bak chang. Maybe my voice over messed up a little bit on the tablespoon and teaspoon. But you can always refer the below for full ingredients. The below are the list of ingredients required
1. Chestnuts - 25 PCs
2. Mushrooms 25 pcs (If medium size) (30-35 if medium & small sized)
3. Salted egg 13 (Each yolk halved)
4. Yellow Split Peas 250 gms
5. Pork Belly 1kg
6. Glutinous Rice 1 kg
7. Shallots 100gms
8. Garlics 50 gms
9. Bamboo Leaves 50 PCs
10. Bamboo leave strings 4-5 bundles
11. Salt
- For pork 1 1/2 tablespoon
- For mushroom 1 tablespoon
- For glutinous rice 1 1/2 tablespoon
- For peas 1/2 tablespoon
12. Oyster Sauce
- 1 tablespoon for mushroom n pork each
13. Chinese 5 Spice
- For pork 1/2 teaspoon
- For glutinous rice 1 teaspoon
14. MSG
- Just for pork 1/2 teaspoon
15. Pepper
- For rice 2 teaspoon
- For peas 1 teaspoon
- For pork 1 teaspoon
