How to Make Half Drop Repeat Adobe Illustrator!!!

In this video, I’ll be showing you how to make a half drop repeat in Adobe Illustrator!!! This is different than a regular full drop repeat. Half drop repeats can add more variation and interest to your Illustrator patterns. So all designers should learn how to make these!!!
We’ll be going over the manual technique to make a half drop repeat pattern. Although we have the option of using the pattern tool, it’s important to also know the manual way, and it’s really not that hard.
I’ll be explaining the difference between a full drop repeat and half drop repeat, and then I’ll demonstrate how to make the half drop repeat using a beautiful floral pattern!
Don’t forget you can also rescale and edit your repeat afterwards.

hi is there any tutorial for full drop repeats?

If you want to make a full drop repeat like the simple one that's shown in the comparison at the beginning of the video, I don't have a specific video on that- but it's really simple. You'll actually follow the same steps as this video EXCEPT that you'll skip the steps where you put the motifs on the 4 corners. Don't put anything on the corners. Follow all the other instructions and you'll have a full drop repeat. (Some people might opt to do it the opposite way and put the motif on all 4 corners and NOT put anything in the center. This is also correct- but I think I'd have to show you how to align the corners motifs correctly in a video or it would take a longer explanation). - And if you want to know how to make a more complicated full drop seamless repeat with lots of elements in it, I do have this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2rCaJ-oq7GnrcUsi=Gz-e_XHeppaVEw3G Click the link to watch.
