I'd say it's actually easy just to get some pound shop wood carving set and a piece of dowel from B&Q then carve them. You'll end up with a better result and a stronger wand.

Hey, no by all means you can make these wands without primer. It just gives the paint a good base to go on to, but you can get the same results without for sure! Hope this helps, have fun making your wands :)

You could try using a hair dryer to speed up the process, also wipe off as much glue as possible to stop it getting too wet. But i'm not sure you would be able to get it 100% dry in 1 hour, sorry! Maybe worth a try? I hope it all works out for your brothers birthday, best of luck :)

Technically I ‘s not Dumbledore’s wand. As In the seventh book it says it’s harry’s and he uses it to repair his old wand.

I guess you could call it the elder wand because so many other people had it like Grindelwald, Voldemort and Dumbledore. I guess you could say it was Harry’s but it was never his in his heart plus he only used the elder wand for one spell and then threw it away. I don’t think this wand ever had a proper owner so you could call it by it’s other many names. The Deathstick, the Elder Wand etc.
