Iesha Shepherd please make sure to get the tincture and not the dried herb. The dried herb taken as tea causes sun sensitivity. The tincture needs to be made from the fresh flower. St. John’s tincture can be found on the Catskills Mountain Herbals website or you can make it yourself. If you do decide to make it yourself please use 100 proof vodka and not grain alcohol. It is a wonderful tincture that remedies depression, muscle soreness and can prevent jet lag as well. There is also a St. John’s oil that can be used topically as sunscreen or muscle soreness; it’s a beautiful red oil.

Nicole McCauley you may want to research Dandelion. It is a wonderful herb for your digestive tract and your liver which go hand in hand. The dried root and leaf make a delicious tea that you can have prior to eating. You can also make a tincture with the fresh root and 100 proof Vodka or purchase from a reputable source like Catskills Mountain Herbals. The Flower can be added to salads as well and will be beneficial for digestion. Also look into seeds like fennel, the tea is great for bloating.

@humanbeing4368

JD Bailey what really helped me be consistent with infusion is on Sunday’s, I make 7 half gallon size infusions to last my family and I an entire week. 4 are Nettle because that’s all my family enjoys to drink and the other 3 I alternate between Linden, Comfrey, Oatstraw and Red clover; sometimes cleavers and chickweed. Strain after 8 hours and place in freezer for 2-3hrs for them to be slightly frozen then move them to the refrigerator. I tend to drink the ones with the highest protein content first since they start fermenting quicker. I had to start doing this because making a quart everyday just didn’t work for my lifestyle.

Dear Earth: Good video. Questions: Is it true that all herbs must be initially blended with *boiling hot* water, then consumed hot or cold? Do you recommend taking *cooking spices from the pantry* like garlic, ginger, curry powder (consisting of turmeric and cumin, coriander, etc.) to infuse with hot water to make a tea or then chilled to make a cold drink? Thanking you in advance for your reply.

As far as PMDD I would suggest Don Quai in capsule form and Black Cohosh in tincture form. What works for me is I start taking both 10-7 days prior to my menses starting and stop when it is done. I also drink raspberry leaf tea everyday while menstruating. Motherwort tincture, Skullcap tincture and cramp bark tinctures are also excellent for menstrual cramps which you can drink while menstruating by the dropper full. Please do your own research prior to purchasing or ingesting any of the above plant remedies.

@humanbeing4368
@humanbeing4368 4 жыл бұрын
D. Patrice Zackary some herbs can be re-used for instance, Comrey Leaf and Linden Leaf and Flower to make a second infusion. One can also give back to the earth by disposing it into a garden, house plants or trees so it can nourish the soil back. Or if you compost, the compost bin is another option.
