This factory has all the tools they need for this job. Abeit old and worn(left overs from the British rule??); they've got it. Give these guys proper workgear: shoes/goggles/overalls..etc.etc...clean up the workspace, set steel crates everywhere for trimmed pieces of steel, restore pride in the old factory! I can tell they actually deliver a grade-a product here...but these conditions they work in...

My last job we build pressure vessels. Some 14 ft diameter up to 39 ft long. We always had to back weld everything before Sub arching. We had to x-ray a lot of jobs. We'd test everyone, fill with water and pressurize. Reweld any leaky spots.

As a former owner of an ASME Code Shop (the required credentials to build pressure vessels in the USA), I wonder if this company, or any others across the big pond, ever go through a joint review with the Nat'l Board and ASME … every three (3) years and at the cost of about $10K last I went through. No wonder _EVERYTHING_ is made overseas.

All very nice, the construction of these vessels is similar throughout the world, with more or less automatic or modern machines, because there are international standards that govern the construction of pressure vessels (ASME standard originating in the US). Now ASME requires that the pressure test for pressure vessels be with water at 2 times the working pressure (in the case of liquefied gas cylinders, their working pressure is 10 kg/cm2 or 142 lb/in2, that is, the test pressure will be 20 kg/cm2 or 285 lb/in2), nowhere in ASME does it talk about leak testing with air at less than 5 kg/cm2 or 71 lb/in2 and soapy water.

Thats not exactly mig welding i dont know how its called in english maybe something like Submerged Arc welding. the Powder replaces the shielding gas and forms Slag on top of the weld just like Stick welding it is mostly used to weld huge parts like Long Beams
